What is a Periodontist?

Dr. Tuckey and Dr. Karastathis are periodontists, trained for an additional three years beyond the four years of dental school, to obtain a certificate of Periodontics and a Masters Degree in Craniofacial Sciences. They specialize in the treatment of gum disease, surgical solutions for a variety of oral conditions and placement of dental implants that can replace single or multiple missing teeth. Clinical procedures routinely performed at the office include pocket reduction surgery, crown lengthening, gingival grafting, and complex bone grafting and implant placement.
